You can easily select your Primary Account in PhonePe. For this you will have to follow the steps given below –

1. First of all, you have to open the PhonePe application in your phone.
2. As soon as the application is opened, you will come to the home page of PhonePe, where you can see different sections of Payments and Offers.
3. Now you will see your profile picture on the top left side of PhonePe home page, you have to click on it.

4. Now you will get all the options related to your profile here. Now here you will see a section of Payment Methods at the top, in which the details of all your bank accounts, debit cards and credit cards are given. Here you have to click on Bank Accounts.

5. Now all those bank accounts which you have linked with PhonePe will appear in front of you. Now you have to click on that bank account for which you want to set your primary account.
6. After this, a new page will open in front of you in which all the details of that bank account will be mentioned. Here you will see an option called Set as primary at the top, you have to click on it.

7. Now a dialogue box will appear in front of you which you have to confirm.

Now that bank account of yours has become Primary Bank Account and after this all the Money Receive or Money Transfer will be done through your same bank accounts. After this, you can change it anytime and even if you delete this application after this, this setting will remain the same and all your money will be received in the same bank account.

Why we Need to Set Primary Account in PhonePe?

If you have linked only one bank account in your PhonePe App, then your same bank account gets selected by default as Primary Account.

But if you have two bank accounts linked to one mobile number and you have linked both those accounts to PhonePe, then you will have to set one of those two bank accounts as the primary account. Which means all your Transaction by Default will be on this bank account.

Now as we all know that when any person sends money to us online, then he just enters our mobile number there and sends the money.
